Description
Corporal Jack Cosatt, 21, is a veteran of the United States Army, 36th Division. The communications officer was wounded in the landing at Salerno, Italy. Five pieces of jagged shrapnel and a German rifle bullet didn't quench the smile of the twenty-one year old. He is shown pointing to a scar on his arm where the shrapnel and German rifle bullet pierced his skin. A piece of skin from his leg was grafted to fill the hole left by a shrapnel fragment. Corporal Cosatt is shown sitting on a couch, dressed in his military uniform.
