First Lieutenant David H. Arno, son of Mr. and Mrs. H. C. Arno, of San Antonio, has been awarded the Air Medal with three clusters after flying 25 combat missions over Europe as a 9th Air Force Thunderbolt fighter pilot. Arno is wearing his pilot uniform in this portrait photograph. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning, July 21, 1944.
