    Shell Day. President Warren Wells of American Manufacturing watches as Mrs. Naomi A. Clay, a timekeeper in the plant, writes her name on a shell for her War Bond purchase. Her son, Lieutenant John H. Clay, is a fighter pilot now in the India-Burma-China theater. Her husband, C. E. Clay, is a welder in the plant. Standing behind is J. C. McAlister.
