    Description

    Plunging down the embankment on the approach to the Three Mile Bridge opposite the 440 block of the White Settlement Road, a Fort Worth Transit Company bus en route from Liberator Village at 1:50 p.m. rolled over twice, inflicting injuries on 53 passengers. A long skid in which 11 concrete guard posts were sheared off preceded the plunge. The accident occurred during a heavy rainstorm. In this picture is shattered glass, twisted railing and hats and other personal effects of passengers. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition, June 1944.
