    Description

    Major S. S. Summers Junior, son of S.S. Summers, was graduated from the Command and General Staff School at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas. He has been assigned to Camp Lee, Virginia and expects overseas duty. Major Summers has been in service since August, 1941, and until April 2 of this year worked in the office of the Quartermaster General in Washington, D. C. He is with the services of supply under his new assignment. His wife and 3-year-old son, William Edwin Summers, live at Lufkin. Summers is a 1926 graduate of Central High School and a 1933 graduate of Texas A&M, where he took his degree in structural engineering. He spent six years as petroleum engineer for the Gulf Oil Corporation at Cranc before entering service. In this picture, he is wearing a military uniform and standing against the wall.
