    Description

    Representing the official boards of the First Presbyterian Church, Harry J Adams, left, presented Reverend James K. Thompson, center, retiring minister, with a wrist watch. Herbert C. Wade, toastmaster at the dinner in Reverend Thompson's honor, looks on. Reverend Thompson became the Church's first pastor in 1919. During his tenure, the congregation grew from 1,100 to 1,500 members. The three men are dressed in suits.
