Description
Marine Captain Marion Cranford Dalby, twenty-one years old, returned to Fort Worth, Texas, and to his wife after fighting overseas. He was credited with sinking two medium Japanese cargo vessels but was more interested in describing his foxhole. Captain Dalby and several other men dug out a "L" shaped foxhole the size of a living room. It was equipped with anything they wanted, from a radio to a refrigerator. Captain Dalby is sitting on a couch, dressed in his military uniform.
