    Description

Redecoration for the Fort Worth Teen Canteen is under way for its summer opening June 9. Participating in the redecorating, left to right, are Ralph Beaver, Jack Owen, and Patsy Green. All three are holding paint brushes and painting a door. Ralph is wearing a button-up shirt and jeans. Jack is standing on a small ladder, dressed in a striped shirt and jeans. Patsy is wearing a collared blouse and overalls. There are cattle brands painted on the wall. A can of paint sits on the floor. Newspapers have been placed on the floor where the painters are working. Ralph and Jack are students at Arlington Heights High School. Patsy is enrolled at Paschal High School. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram evening edition, May 25, 1944.
