    Mayor Pro Tem, Roscoe Carnrike, right, receives bronze plaque, awarded Fort Worth for 1943 safety record, from Carl J. Rutland of Dallas, Texas, program chairman of joint conference of Texas Safety Association, Texas Police Association and Texas Traffic Court Judges in Dallas. Mayor Carnike is wearing a three piece suit, shirt, tie and pocket square. His right hand is shaking Rutland's hand as his left is holding the bottom corner of the plaque. Behind Carnrike is a banquet table with flower centerpiece. The wallpapered wall has candle sticks with tear drop crystals. Rutland is wearing a pin stripe suit. His left hand is holding the top corner of the plaque. Behind him are window blinds and drapes. Published in Fort Worth Star-Telegram, evening edition, May 10, 1944.
