Description
Mrs. Vinita Daughty, 2908 E Fourth, looks down at a picture of her husband, Private First Class (pfc.) George W. Daughty. He is in uniform. Mrs. Daughty is sitting in an accent chair holding the picture in her right hand. The chair's wooden arms and back are covered with crochet pieces In the corner is a floor lamp and a small, three shelf, accent table. The table is displaying a porcelain dish, a glass candy dish with lid, and a two handled vase that sits on a crochet doily. Mrs. Daughty is wearing a dress with lapels; two buttons symmetrically placed on the upper portion of the dress; a porcelain face brooch at the v-neckline and her wedding ring on her finger. Her husband arrived at Ashburn General Hospital, McKinney, this week from England where he was injured in air raids. Published in The Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition, May 6, 1944.
