Description
Lieutenant Walter E. Cook, newly assigned to the Fort Worth Flight Control Center. His last ship was named "A Touch of Texas". He participated in five major campaigns a s a pilot in the North African theater. He holds the Purple Heart and the Air Medal with nine oak leaf clusters. Cook enlisted in the ground forces in May 1941 and later transferred to pilot training where he received his wings in October 1942. Cook is the son of Mr. and Mrs. C. J. Cook of Graham. He is a graduate of Graham High School and attended Weatherford College. He and his wife live at 3630 Mattison. Cook is wearing his military uniform in the half length photograph.
