    Lieutenant Willis Jarrell, former Tyler attorney, cited by Army. A native of Fort Worth, Lt. Willis Jarrell , former Tyler attorney, has completed 25 combat missions as a Flying Fortress pilot based in England. He has won the Distinguished Flying Cross and Air Medal with three oak clusters. Jarrel, a graduate of the University of Texas Law School, flew a fortress named "House of Lords" on 11 missions. It was marked for salvage; he and his crew named their new bomber 'Nine Yanks and a Jerk." Image appeared in Star-Telegram Evening Edition April 6, 1944.
