Description

Mrs. W. D. Nugent, 3841 Westcliff Road, has turned her artistic talent into a paying hobby while her husband is away, training to be a Navy officer. Mrs. Nugent is pictured sitting on a floral, skirted club chair. She is wearing a skirt and blouse, with puffy sleeves. The scoop neck and sleeves are trimmed with a pattern ribbon. Her legs are crossed , while she is holding one of her drawings with her left hand and her right hand is in a position on the drawing, which a portrait of a toddler. She is wearing earrings. Her shoes are two-tone slip on heels. Behind Mrs. Nugent is a pained window with floral drapes. Mrs. Nugent took four years of art work at Texas Christian University (TCU). Published in The Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition, April 23, 1944.
