Description
Robert E. Lawler, chief yeoman, is on leave after over three years of war and reconstruction in the Pacific. He carried ammunition for a destroyer tender during the Japanese attack at Pear Harbor. He was employed in the Santa Fe division freight office before he enlisted in the Navy, October, 1941. He is the son of Mr. And Mrs. H. M. Lawler of Galveston. Photograph is of Lawler wearing his Navy uniform with military ribbon and chevron stripes on left sleeve. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition, April 22, 1944.
