    Description

    "Rivals," a painting in oil by Bror Utter is the $50 second prize winner offed by Mrs. O. L. Burnett. It is exhibited at the current Local Artists Show in the gallery of the Public Library. The painting shows four women outdoors, two women sitting at a table with a vase of flowers. One woman is wearing a light colored gown and a large flowered hat. The woman next to her is wearing a dress with a dark veil on her head. The third woman, in a dark dress, placing her hand on the woman's shoulder. Behind her is a woman, with her back turned, wearing two bows in her hair. In the background is a ledge and the silhouette of three women looking what is beyond. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram evening edition, April 11, 1944.
