Description
Duncan Murphy, veteran with the American Field Ambulance Service, of Hartford, Connecticut, is visiting his brother, Aviation Cadet, Edward Murphy, at Curtis Field. He donated blood to the Red Cross Blood Donor Center while visiting. He is sitting at a small dining table. The table has a doily covered plate with cookies , napkins in a napkin holder, a vase with carnation flowers, Duncan Murphy's saucer with a teaspoon and a filled drinking glass lying on it. He is wearing British army battle dress with a crochet shawl over his shoulders. He is eating a cookie with his left hand and his right hand is holding the drinking glass. The floor is a diamond pattern. There is a plant stand behind his right shoulder and a plain mirror on the wall. Published in Fort Worth Star-Telegram, April 20, 1944.
