    Description

    Major Harvey C. Bauss, engineer with Fifth Air Force was awarded the Purple Heart for his action in saving an ammunition dump in the Southwest Pacific from destruction. Bauss was a civil engineer when he entered the Air Forces in January 30, 1941. His wife is the former Miss Mary Virginia Harrell who lives in Fort Worth. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Anthony Bauss of Buffalo, New York. Photograph is a head shot of Bauss in his Air Force uniform. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition, April 25, 1944.
