Description
Major George C. Vournas of Washington, D. C. addresses Fort Worth citizens, of Greek descent, at a war bond rally held at Greek Orthodox Church, located on 21st and Ross streets. Vournas, attached to the War Finance Division of the Treasury Department, is supreme president of the Order of Ahepa (Greek educational and patriotic organization) and is on a national tour in the interest of Ahepa's one hundred million dollars war bond drive for the fiscal year ending July 1. Photograph is Vournas wearing his full military uniform. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition, April 18, 1944.
