Both men are standing next to a pile of obsolete and inaccurate scales and holding up an eighteen ninety-nine (1899) scale. Mr. Bowlin announced he will sell obsolete and inaccurate machinery for junk and turn the proceeds over to the Red Cross. He is dressed in trousers with suspenders, rolled up sleeve shirt and eyeglasses. Mr. Barton is wearing pants, vest with tie, and rolled up sleeve shirt. Behind them is a building. On the side of the building reads "The Mandis Company Auto Parts and Supplies 1016 - 18 - Monroe Street." There are cars parked in front of the building.
