Description
The Fort Worth, Texas Red Cross Blood Donor mobile unit launched a series of out-of-town stands, to include Ardmore, Oklahoma. Many donors crowded the temporary center and waited hours in long lines outside. Lieutenant A. D. Alsobrook of Ardmore, Oklahoma Army Air Field, is shown waiting for his wife to donate blood. Accompanying them is their cocker spaniel, P. D. I. The couple is sitting on a bench and their dog is between them. Mrs. Alsobrook is wearing a dress and Lieutenant Alsobrook is wearing his military uniform. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram evening edition, April 12, 1944.
