    Description

The Fort Worth, Texas Red Cross Blood Donor mobile unit launched a series of out-of-town stands, to include Ardmore, Oklahoma. Many donors crowded the temporary center and waited hours in long lines outside. Standing are Mrs. Grace Parker, a donor, left, a Native American, half -Chickasaw, wife of a paratrooper, and Mrs. Richard Patterson, nurses' aide. Mrs. Parker is wearing a blouse tucked into trousers and Mrs. Patterson is wearing her nurses' aide uniform. The two are smiling and holding a piece of paper. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram evening edition, April 12, 1944.
