Description
Mrs. S. J. Sherwood, Quarter Master Depot employee, admiring her Easter flowers that were sent to her, through the Red Cross, by her sons in the Southwest Pacific, Marine Corporal Sidney J. Sherwood, Jr. and Sam Porter Sherwood, seaman first class in the Seabees. Mrs. Sherwood is shown standing in a bedroom and wearing a polka dot dress with a decorative brooch. Her left hand is reaching towards the roses and wispy fern, holding one in her hand. Next to the roses is an Easter lily, both flowers are sitting on a narrow table. Underneath the table is a trash basket. On the wall is a silhouette drawing and a framed portrait of a man. The portrait is over a headboard and a bed with a geometric pattern bed cover.
