    Mr. and Mrs. A. R. Gordon, 2019 College, are sitting down, next to each other, on a shawl-covered sofa. Mrs. Gordon is wearing a striped dress, with collar, buttoned up the front, and eyeglasses. She is leaning towards Mr. Gordon, holding a letter in her hands. Mr. Gordon is wearing a long sleeved shirt with pockets. The shirt is buttoned up to the neck. He is wearing eyeglasses and has a pen in his pocket and two unidentifiable buttons pinned to the pocket.. His right hand is resting on his right knee, with Mrs. Gordon resting her arm on his. Behind them are books encased in a decorative, glass door bookshelf. They are reading a message concerning their son, Sergeant Crayton Gordon. informing them he is a prisoner of war, in Malaya. Published Fort Worth Star-Telegram Morning Edition April 5, 1944.
