Left to right, Private First Class Willis R. Defibaugh and Carl Defibaugh,fire control man, third class. Private First Class Willis R. Defibaugh, aerial gunner, and Carl Defibaugh, Navy fire control man, standing next to each other against a wall. They are sons of Mrs. Mary Defibaugh, 4801 Camp Bowie Boulevard and were at Lena Pope Home before entering the service. Carl is a former letterman and track star at Arlington Heights High School, while Willis was a graduate of Technical High School. Image appeared in Star-Telegram Evening Edition, March 23, 1944.
