Description

Frank R. Sanders, Seaman First Class. Frank R. Sanders is standing against a wall in a Navy uniform. Image appeared in the Star-Telegram Morning Edition, March 18, 1945. Sanders returned from 19 months in the South Pacific where he participated in five major battles and received five service stars. He was at Pearl Harbor during the December 7 raid, on Tarawa, Guadalcanal, Midway and in the Marshall Islands.
