Description
First Lieutenant William G. Fuller Junior, who got his first plane ride at the age of 18 months and started learning to fly at 12 or 13 years old, came home from 10 months in the Pacific this week with an Air Medal and seven clusters and an Asiatic-Pacific ribbon with three stars for major engagements pinned under his silver wings. Since going overseas, Lt. Fuller has flown 100 combat missions with 48 contacts with the enemy, amassing 500 combat hours. But his flying experience started long before he enlisted in the Army Air Forces in April 1942. Lt. Fuller is wearing his military uniform is standing against a wall. Star-Telegram March 15, 1944
