Description
Captain Benjamin B. Gayle Jr. of San Antonio, Texas was navigator on the plane that carried General Clark to the 1943 conference at Teheran, his wife, Mrs. Madelon Byerly Gayle, learned this week. Gayle has been overseas with the troop carrier command since July 1942 based first in England and now in Italy. He received the Air Medal for his flight with troops from England to North Africa in November 7-8, 1942. Captain Gayle is wearing his military uniform. Star-Telegram Morning March 16, 1944
