    Description

    Ariadne Panteleieff is a Woman's Army Corp (WAC) first lieutenant in the management control office of the Army Air Forces Training Command. Lieutenant Panteleieff was born in Vladivostok, Russia. Due to political reasons, her family frequently moved when she was young. They spent time in Russia, Japan, and China. She came to New York when she was seven years old, with her mother. Lieutenant Panteleieff graduated from Rhode Island State College and received her master's degree in personnel management at New York University. Lieutenant Panteleieff enlisted in the WAC in the fall of 1942. Her promotion to first lieutenant brought her to Fort Worth, Texas. Lieutenant Panteleieff is sitting at a desk, dressed in her military uniform. There is a typewriter next to her.
