Description
American Airlines service awards. Ralph S. Damon, right, making the awards. An Aviation "pioneer" emblem representing 15 years service with the company were received by four employees of American Airlines. Those honored, left to right, Emmett R. Merrett, station manager; Captains Howard W. Woodall, Thomas J. Lee and Paul Vance, pilots, all of Fort Worth, Texas. Mr. Damon puts a pin on the lapel of Mr. Vance. Vance and the other three men face Damon. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition, February 5, 1944.
