Lieutenant and Mrs. John L. Phillips got married in her mother's home in Camp Bowie. She is the former Miss Betty Ficke Elliott, daughter of Mrs. Dorothy Ficke. They left for a trip to New Orleans. The couple is pictured standing on the steps of a building. Mrs. Phillips is in a dress with a orchid corsage pinned to her dress. She carries a purse and a fur coat. She has her left hand around her husband's arm who is in military uniform. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition, February 3, 1944.
