    Description

    James L. Needham, 33, who received a bronze medal for heroism for rescuing, along with James F. Skidmore, two men trapped in the Burrus Mill Elevator Company at Saginaw, Texas, after a dust explosion. The men rescued were Henry D. Moses, 24, and Cecil O. Evans, 26, who were seriously injured in the explosion. Needham and Skidmore climbed up a 75-foot fire department ladder and then along a drain pipe 30 more feet to reach the men. Needham is an assistant flight inspector at Convair as well as an instructor at the Engineering, Science, and Management War Training (ESMWT) program at the University of Texas in Fort Worth, Texas. He is shown standing against a bare wall, wearing a dark-colored suit.
