Description
Pictured here are John L. Jones and Master Sergeant (Sgt.) Robert H. Hamilton of Dallas. Mr. Jones purchased the first $25 People's Bond in Fort Worth for the Fourth War Loan Drive. Sergeant (Sgt.) Hamilton was wounded near Salerno, Italy, during his overseas duty. He paid a surprise visit to Mr. Jones. Both are shown standing against a bare wall and jointly holding the bond. Mr. Jones is dressed in suit and tie. Sergeant (Sgt.) Hamilton is dressed in military uniform. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition, January 19, 1944.
