Description
The Army Air Forces (AAF) Training Command is opening a new cafeteria in Fort Worth, Texas. In attendance, left to right, are Private First Class (Pfc.) Edna Hope, Sergeant (Sgt.) Gladys Flamm, and Technical Sergeant (Tech Sgt.) Harold C. Turner. Private (pfc.) Hope, of Old Forge, Pennsylvania, is serving with the Women's Army Corps (WAC). Sergeant (Sgt.) Flamm, of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, is also with the Women's Army Corps (WAC). Sergeant (Tech Sgt.) Turner, of Bedford, Virginia, is with the Army Air Force. All three are dressed in their military uniforms and are holding empty cafeteria trays. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram evening edition, January 17, 1944.
