Description
Soldiers can spend the night at the Service Men's Center for 50 cents. When there aren't enough beds, soldiers sleep on chairs or couches. Privates Sam Mantucca and Eugene Ramirez, Camp Wolters, sleeping on a make-shift bed. The soldiers lined up chairs in rows across from each other and are lying across the chairs. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition, January 23, 1944.
