James L. Reed, seaman first class in the Coast Guard. A man in Coast Guard uniform and hat with a service ribbon or decoration on his chest. He has on a dark tie and uniform hat. There is a light-colored patch on his right sleeve and light trim on each cuff. Clipping: "James L. Reed, seaman first class in the Coast Guard, is visiting his brother, Ray Reed, 404 Chicago, while on leave from his station at Miami Beach. Reed is the son of Mr. and Mrs. J. L. Reed of Decatur."
