    Miss Barbara Bingham took an oath to join the Women Accepted for Volunteer Emergency Service (W. A. V. E. S.) on her 20th birthday. She will report to Hunter College in New York City, New York, for training. Miss Bingham is following in her father's footsteps, who was a cadet in the Naval Air Corps. Miss Bingham attended the University of Illinois. She also worked as a nurse's aide for the Red Cross. She hopes to get into the WAVES hospital corps. She is standing against a wall,wearing a blouse and a coat.
