Description
Three of the 13 people held prisoner during the Renfro Drug Company robbery are, left to right, Miss Bertie Mae McDonald, Miss Francis Jones and Miss Maurine McNeill. The women are sitting on one of the safes which helped to yield $2,000 cash and narcotics to two gunmen who took charge of the general office Friday evening. Miss McDonald and Miss Jones are bookkeepers. Miss McDonald is dressed in a blouse, blazer, skirt, and a necklace. Miss Jones is wearing a collared dress. Miss McNeill is a commercial artist. She is dressed in a blouse, blazer, skirt, and a bird brooch.
