Arthur G. Schmitt, 35 year-old, heard of his son's adventures in the navy, he decided to enlist and signed up on July 19. Mr. Schmitt, a resident of Fort Worth was a guard at the United States Public Health Hospital until he enlisted. In the photograph, Mr. Schmitt is wearing a United States Navy dress blue sailors uniform and standing in front of a plain wall. He is smiling and looking at the camera.
