Captain Melville Ehlers is home on leave from the Army Air Forces, where he serves as a pilot. He is proudly introducing his son, Melville Junior, to his former coach, Dutch Meyer. Coach Meyer (left) has been the head coach of the Texas Christian University Horned Frogs for the past nine seasons. Captain Ehlers was an end on Meyer's 1938 championship team. Coach Meyer is dressed in a hat, t-shirt, and trousers. He is fitting a football in Mel Jr.'s hands. Captain Ehlers is dressed in his military uniform. There are lockers opened in the background.
