Description

The Texas Christian University Horned Frogs are preparing for the 1943 football season. There are nine freshman on the roster and only one returning letterman from the 1942 season. Some of the new faces to the gridiron, left to right, are Billy Hale, Captain Clyde Flowers, Quinton Lawrence, and Dick Smith. Hale is a center transfer from Texas Tech University. Flowers, the returning letterman tackle, is shown holding a horned frog mascot. Lawrence is a back, previously with Baylor University. Smith is a tackle transfer from Southern Methodist University. They are shown sitting in front of a fence, dressed in their football uniforms.
