The Boston College Eagles and the Clemson Tigers are facing off in the 1940 Cotton Bowl. Vito Ananis, Boston halfback (18) is rushing with the ball. He ran from the twenty-yard line to the thirty-four on this first quarter plat. George Fritts (61) with Clemson is in pursuit. The Clemson Tigers went on to win the game by a score of 6-3.
