Description
Colonel Harding Polk (right) on leave from the Sixth Corps Area, Chicago, Illinois, and Colonel W. W. West. Polk is past president of the Seventh Cavalry, United States Army. West is commander of the regiment. The two are shown sitting in a small booth on the troop train which stopped in Fort Worth, Texas, en route from Fort Bliss at El Paso, Texas, to East Texas. Colonel Polk is wearing a dark suit while Colonel West is in military uniform. Polk is also holding a hat in his left hand.
