    Description

The Catholic University Cardinals are playing the Arizona State Bulldogs in the 1940 Sun Bowl. The game is being held at Kidd Field in El Paso Texas. The teams are running a play near midfield in what was predicted to be one of the highest scoring games of the season. But a gale wind impeded the quarterback's ability to pass and only sixteen total yards were gained through the air. The final score was a 0-0 tie, the only scoreless tie in Sun Bowl history.
