    The Women's Army Auxiliary Corps (W. A. A. C.) is preparing for the inauguration of national W. A. A. C. Week, May 16. The week represents the first birthday of the feminine branch of the United States Army. Seated is Lieutenant Madia Moorhead of the Fort Worth Army Recruiting Office. Standing are Mrs. Hugh Thane, Mrs. Lester Boone, Mrs. Preston Fowlkes, Mrs. James F. Farmer, Mrs. Travis Young, Mrs. J. K. Looker, Mrs. A. L. Purvis, and Mrs. Lawrence Peterson. The women are dressed in their military uniforms.
