Description
Jailer G. D. Lanford (seated) is showing John Mayer the iron bars with which three young men threatened him as they attempted to break out of jail. Mr. Mayer's car was stolen by the same criminals in their attempted getaway. The iron bars appear to be wrapped in some cloth at the base. Mr. Mayer is wearing a dark jacket with a striped shirt underneath and trousers. Mr. Lanford is wearing a long-sleeve shirt underneath a suit vest and trousers.
