Lieutenant and Mrs. James Higgins Junior were married on March 20, 1943, at Saint Patrick's Catholic Church. The bride is the former Miss Margaret Hallvax, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Hallvax. The newlyweds are standing on the front steps of the church with their arms joined. Lieutenant Higgins Junior is wearing his military uniform and his wife is wearing a matching jacket and skirt set with a floral accessory pinned to her jacket lapel. Behind them other people can be seen walking out of the church in similar fashion. On the wall next to the stairs is a plaque showing the hours Mass is conducted at the church.
