Description
These five surviving members of the first class of Texas funeral directors and embalmers who took examinations 40 years prior in Fort Worth, Texas, reunited for a meeting of the Texas Funeral Directors and Embalmers Association. Together they represent a total of 200 years in funeral directing. They are, front row, left to right, W. Joe Beard of Edinburg, Texas, A. B. Rogers of San Marcos, Texas, and George W. Loudermilk of Dallas, Texas; back row, left to right, Thurlow D. Weed of Austin, Texas, and Dan Laughter of Abilene, Texas. All five men are wearing suits and eyeglasses.
