L. Nelson Powell is a machinist mate first class in the United States Navy. He is home on leave in Fort Worth, Texas, visiting his parents, Mr. and Mrs. H. M Powell. Powell enlisted in the Navy in August, 1939. He is a graduate of Polytechnic High School. He is shown standing against a wall, dressed in his military uniform.
