Description
Dale Smith is a 10-year-old boy who saved his sister from burning to death. Dale is shown standing in front of a wall, holding up his sister's nightgown that caught on fire. His sister, Patsy Lou, screamed for her brother when her nightgown became ignited from the family's fireplace. Dale smothered the flames with a quilt as the other sisters went to call their mother. Patsy Lou was severely burned on her body but her head and face were saved, thanks to her brother. Dale is wearing a plaid sweater, jeans and a hat. Dale and Patsy are the children of Mr. and Mrs. Hulan Smith.
