Description

City Detective G. W. Haire (left) and Detective H. J. Cobb investigate some of the supplies used by Thomas Nathan (Pete) Norris. The two detectives are shown kneeling down with various sacks and a small cardboard box filled with the food and smoking stock the Norris gang used. Mr. Cobb appears to be holding up a sack of supplies while Mr. Haire ruffles through a larger sack. Behind the duo is a parked car and a few unnamed men who are looking on. Norris who was on the FBI's most wanted list, was captured about 12 miles southeast of Kennedale, after a chase by city detectives, FBI agents and Texas Ranger. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition, February 24, 1943.
